Special thanks to neighbor Karen Riggins for the beautiful photo.

Symbols of peace,hope

Friday evening, Sherwood Oaks had its first Miles of Lights luminary display. Many neighbors commented that the luminaries were especially meaningful symbols of peace and hope in light of the tragedy in Connecticut that had occurred earlier in the day. Sherwood Oaks Neighbors wishes to thank all those who supported Miles of Lights with their time, talent and donations. MILES OF LIGHTS

Sherwood Oaks Neighbors is beginning its holiday Miles of Lights neighborhood celebration this year.

Please join us for a memorable evening of celebrating a year of community and fellowship among neighbors by lining our sidewalks with candlelight.

This year the display will be on the main thoroughfares of Allendale, Bainbridge, Westminster, Laura Way and Heather Drive.

On Dec. 9 we will place the lights late afternoon and light the candles at 6 p.m.

We encourage all Sherwood Oaks I and II neighbors to help. Please contact the committee by sending an email to sherwoodoaksneighbors@gmail.com.

Sherwood Oaks Neighbors is a non-restrictive city of Bloomington neighborhood association created in 2011 to foster community growth in Sherwood Oaks I and II.
