Tradition celebrates peace, hope

On Dec. 14, Sherwood Oaks held its third annual Miles of Lights Luminary display. The Miles of Lights tradition began on the evening of the tragic Sandy Hook, Connecticut elementary school shooting on December 14, 2012. This year, as Miles of Lights coincided with the anniversary of the Sandy Hook tragedy, many neighbors lined the streets with candles lit in memory of lives lost. Sherwood Oaks Neighbors wishes to thank all those who gave their time, talent and donations to light over 2,500 luminaries to celebrate peace and hope in our community.
